Farddina Hussain an Associate Professor in the Dept. of English, Gauhati University. She has attended several National & International Conferences on Posthumanism. Memory Studies, Cinema Studies, English Literature and Cultural Studies. Three of her research scholars have been awarded PhD degrees for their work on gender, rewriting myths and partition films. She has also attended Film Appreciation Course, FTII and a screen writing workshop.

I’m particularly interested in “what is human” and its future course. I’ve presented papers on Posthumanism in Barcelona, Spain and on speculative fiction in Kolkata.
There’s a growing interest in exploring the emerging culture in media, cinema and literature on Posthumanism.
