Statement of Interest:
I have been following the activities of Global Posthuman Network for the last three years, and when I came across the Indian Posthumanism Network, I was very excited with the fact that this would advance the posthumanist studies in the Global South. Currently, I am working on my PhD thesis which addresses concerns about the posthuman subject viewed as the Other, and how the disabled body becomes a posthuman subject by threatening the fantasies of the nondisabled and generating a “normative anxiety.” Being a part of this network, would not only make me acquainted with other important works happening on Posthumanism in India, but would also provide me a platform to critically engage in conversations about the different aspects of posthumanism.
