Statement of Interest:

As an extension and departure from the humanist field of studies, posthumanism has recently emerged as a tool of critical and cultural inquiry. Following Nietzsche, Foucault, Bruno Latour, Rosi Braidotti, Zizek, Posthumanism has critically investigated the epistemic assemblage between man and its ‘other’ so to speak. Admittedly, posthumanist discourses have remained largely Eurocentric with focus largely on the European structures of knowledge. Indian Posthumanism, as a platform, I think will chart a different territory which take into account the inclusive framework of Indian modes of thought. It will help us re-think the category of posthumanism from a different vantage point.
