Statement of Interest:

Society finds itself at a crossroads. Globalization, the concurrent rise of science and fundamentalisms, the rapid exchange of ideas through mass communication and specialized channelization of information have all created a jumble of ideas about the human person that require constant updating and ongoing analysis. Embodied technologies such as meditation and Yoga in their many forms, coupled with ethical reflection, are emerging as necessary tools for negotiating this increasingly complex milieu. The Indian Posthumanism Network holds appeal due to its shared understanding of the need for an integrative vision that moves beyond the fractured modern worldview.
